Palliative care physicians with proven leadership experience, excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of palliative care and a clear vision on how palliative care services can operate and collaborate across hospital, hospice and community environments are invited to apply.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital which services the MidCentral region with a population of 168,000. It is a teaching hospital and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools and Arohanui Hospice.
The
Regional Cancer Treatment Service covers a wider area including Hawkes Bay, Whanganui and Taranaki with a total population of over 560,000. The Regional Service includes Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Haematology.
