Are you an Infectious Diseases/General Physician looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for someone to join our team providing specialist services to the MidCentral region from September 2018.
Our Infectious Diseases service provides specialist outpatient services, consults on inpatients and supports primary health care with advice. This post also provides clinical support to our Infection Prevention and Control Service.
The post is one of 12 physicians contributing to general medicine take. Most patients remain under the care of the admitting general physician although some are transferred to cardiology, respiratory and renal.

It will work to further reduce service duplication and fragmentation, to move care into and closer to people’s homes, and to achieve an integrated and community focused high performing health system.
Applicants must be eligible for vocational registration in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand with specialist training / qualification in Infectious Diseases, as well as having demonstrated clinical, management, and teaching skills and the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
