Are you interested in helping with the COVID-19 vaccination programme in the MidCentral District Health Board region?
We are developing a team of energetic and enthusiastic administration/ support staff who can work on a temporary basis to support this crucial public health work.  We are likely to be undertaking pop-up style clinics, working across the district in a range of settings including vaccination clinics, community locations and pop up vaccination stations around the MidCentral District Health Board region.
An overview of the tasks you will undertake are:
  • Greeting and screening the public arriving at vaccine places
  • Data entry into the COVID Immunisation and Vaccinator Register (CIR)
  • Providing administration support for the immunisation process
  • Booking vaccine appointments
  • Completing appointment reminders
  • Assisting in the set up and pack down of vaccine sites
  • Administration and planning of future vaccine events
These are temporary appointments working up to 40 hours per week until 31 December 2021 to support the COVID-19 vaccine delivery.

Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
