  •  0.4 FTE rostered rotating shifts
  • Fixed term contract 6-12 months or casual
Are you an experienced Midwife who is a self-motivated learner?
Due to the current midwifery shortage MidCentral is offering fixed term contracts 0.4 FTE (rostered/rotating shifts).
These positions would suit midwives who cannot commit to our usual minimum of 0.6 FTE whilst they are juggling family or other commitments.
If you have limited availability and are able to work only certain days or shifts in a preferred area then a casual position may be more beneficial to you.  We are able to provide the flexibility of a casual contract with an added new initiative of enabling shifts to be booked weeks in advance.
These positions will be supported by a comprehensive orientation and ongoing Midwifery Educator support.
MidCentral is committed to ensuring that children and young people are safe from abuse and harm. As part of our commitment to children and young people, and in line with the Childrens Act 2014, appointment to positions that involve regular or overnight contact with children will include worker safety checks. These checks are in addition to the requirement to have a satisfactory police clearance. Further information will be provided to shortlisted candidates. More information about the Childrens Act 2014 is available from the Ministry for Children (Oranga Tamariki) website.
