We are looking for an Anaesthesia Provisional Fellow in Perioperative Medicine and Malignant Hyperthermia to join the Anaesthesia and ICU team based at Palmerston North Hospital and providing services to the MidCentral District Health Board region.
This is a 12 month full time position.
The fellow will take part in a predetermined weekly roster to ensure that fellowship requirements and clinical service requirements are met.
The fellowship involves sessions in Perioperative Medicine and Malignant hyperthermia. The fellow will be encouraged to further develop the perioperative medicine services in MidCentral and work towards acquiring qualifications while in the post (in Perioperative medicine, echocardiography and Clinical pulmonary Exercise testing). The fellow would be encouraged to take part in New Zealand’s only Malignant Hyperthermia testing centre and be active in the research component of the department.
