The Opportunity

MidCentral is looking for an experienced physiotherapist to work in Services for Treatment, Assessment and Rehabilitation (STAR) Ward at the Palmerston North Hospital.

This is a permanent, part time position of 28 hours a week.
The STAR Ward is an inpatient rehabilitation ward for people aged 16 years and older. It has a varied caseload from reconditioning the Elderly to rehabilitating adults post stroke, amputations, trauma other neurological conditions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of geriatricians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech-language therapists, clinical psychologist, NASC, nurses and physiotherapy assistants.
 
We are looking for a physiotherapist who has a broad range of knowledge and experience, is patient and whanau centred, enjoys teamwork, has good time management and advocacy skills.  You would also need to be an excellent communicator both written and oral.
 
Five years experience is preferable but not essential. A current APC is essential.
