(Scope of Practice: Occupational Therapy)
MidCentral District Health Board has a vacancy for a New Zealand registered occupational therapist, primarily working in our Older Peoples Assessment & Liaison Service (OPAL), and based within the Occupational Therapy Team at Palmerston North Hospital.
This position is 28 hours per week, however hours up to full time could be negotiable with the successful applicant. This position is temporary to cover parental leave and is expected to conclude on 15 October 2021.
Responsibilities are primarily working with older people with frailty and will include follow up in the community. This position would suit occupational therapists with a minimum of two years’ post graduate experience.
There may be circumstances in which you will need to work in other areas of Occupational Therapy including the acute wards or rehabilitation or community based services.
