MidCentral DHB's Mental Health Service is pleased to offer an Occupational Therapist the opportunity to be part of the Mental Health New Entry to Specialist Practice (NESP) programme for 2021.
 
The successful candidate will be employed in our Mental Health Service 36 hours per week for 12 months and will complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science (Mental Health) through Auckland University of Technology. Funding for this study is through Te Pou and the successful applicant must secure a funded position to be offered employment.
 
New graduates with an interest in mental health (or therapists new to mental health) are encouraged to apply.

Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
 
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
