The Regional Cancer Treatment Service at MidCentral provides medical oncology, radiation oncology and clinical haematology services funded by the MidCentral, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Whanganui, Tairawhiti and Taranaki Districts, for their communities.

We are seeking to appoint a part time (0.6 FTE) Medical Oncologist for the Regional Cancer Treatment Service based at Hastings Hospital in the Outpatient Cancer Service. This is a permanent position, hours negotiable.
 
The role will involve providing cancer care and the delivery of systemic therapy, supporting a team of specialist cancer nurses, supporting Multi-Disciplinary Meetings and providing Hawkes Bay clinicians with advice on the management of the patient with cancer in the inpatient setting.
 
Applicants for this position must have, or be eligible for, vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council as well as having demonstrated clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
