The Stork is about to visit CAFS MidCentral and with three babies on the way we have three wonderful 6-9 month roles available.

Eating Disorders Clinician
Vacancy ID: 6470

Role 1 is a role working with young people who present with an eating disorder. Preferably we would like someone with Family Based Therapy training (Maudsley). We have had a huge rise in referrals over the last 12 months and young people often present as very unwell. This is incredibly challenging and rewarding work.

Clinical Psychologist
Vacancy ID: 6467

Role 2 is for a Clinical Psychologist, covering assessment, therapy, preferable training in CBT, DBT, ACT.

Mental Health Professional (Registerd Nurse or Social Worker)
Vacancy ID: 6465

Role 3 is a Nurse Practitioner role however we know these professionals are “as rare as hens teeth’ in CAFS and so we are opening this up to either nursing or social work. The role involves working alongside our duty team covering crisis and carrying a small caseload.

Preferable skills in CBT, DBT.

We feel our team is unique, we genuinely like each other, are able to work and to play together and appreciate humour. We are passionate about our clients and the services we provide and always wanting to learn and provide the absolute best practice care. We have a great mix of experienced and fledgeling staff who are motivated and full of creative energy and a management team who are keen to support us in our creation of a CAMHS centre of excellence!

If you have clinical experience in a CAMH Service and are a registered professional we can offer you some challenging and rewarding experiences, great team support and access to some ever-growing training opportunities!

Our City and Region (Make sure you check us out)

Our vibrant and diverse City isn’t a huge but it packs a powerful social experience if that’s what you are looking for. Its not next to the sea or the beach, but its pretty close (25 mins) and they are wild and wonderful. It has awesome walks/bike tracks and more importantly the people are what makes it a fabulous place to be – both in the community and especially within our Service.

There is lots to do locally or with its central location it is easy to get away for the weekend to all the major attractions of Lower North Island - 2 hours drive away from the vibrant capital of Wellington (via the newly opened Transmission Gully road), the wineries of Hawkes’ Bay, the ski fields of Ruapehu and much more!

Ring me, come for a visit (ZOOM or physically) and allow us to share our awesomeness with you.

If you think this is you then call me now, Bev Huttley, Clinical Manager CAFS on 0275468828,  email: bev.huttley@midcentraldhb.govt.nz or Nathan Stevenson on 027 267 6094.
