We have recently implemented a new model for the Duty Nurse Manager role. There are now two duty nurse managers rostered after-hours. One role will undertake senior clinical nursing functions such as supporting staff to care for the deteriorating patients across the hospital, attending MET calls and responding to escalation alerts through the VRM warning system. The other role will be an operational role, covering hospital bed management, staff management and patient flow.
All the duty nurse manager roles will be rostered and rotating through all the shifts and through both roles.
If you interested in being part of this newly formed team we would like to hear from you.
MidCentral District Health Board is committed to ensuring that children and young people are safe from abuse and harm. As part of our commitment to children and young people, and in line with the Vulnerable Children Act 2014, appointment to positions that involve regular or overnight contact with children will include worker safety checks. These checks are in addition to the requirement to have a satisfactory police clearance. Further information will be provided to shortlisted candidates. More information about the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 is available from the Ministry of Vulnerable Children website.
