Te Uru Rauhi, Mental Health and Addiction Services at MidCentral DHB have great opportunities for experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists.  One of these is permanent, the second is temporary covering parental leave. Both positions are full time and will be based in the Manawatu locality and provide some services across the rohe.
 
The successful applicant/s will be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill in the assessment and management of mental health and addictions presentations within a community setting.  The roles will also include the capacity to be part of a new model of care Te Mātāpuna o te Ora which focuses on an integrated treatment approach for those who would benefit from mental health and addiction services.

Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
 
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
