Choose a career in health. MidCentral District Health Board is involved in initiatives promoting health as a career to students of all ages.

Work Choice Day

Students from local high schools are invited to MidCentral DHB to meet health professionals from a variety of disciplines.

Work Choice day is held as a mini careers expo, in which health professionals from the departments represented answer questions about their job, qualifications required and let students try their hand at tasks (such as working through how to read a basic xray). Our displays featured pharmacy, dental, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, radiation therapists, resident medical officers, social workers, speech language therapists, detitians, medical radiation technologists (x-ray), the resuscitation team, and nursing.

For more information on this years Work Choice day please see your careers advisor or visit the work choice skills website.
