We know that our staff are some of the best and brightest in their fields. With all this knowledge and experience come innovative ideas about how to improve health care for patients and staff alike.
As an organisation we want to give staff a way to further develop their innovations, and to do this we have partnered up with BCC a local business development organisation that specialises in innovation, startups, and tech transfer. BCC work closely with research institutions and entrepreneurs from around Manawatu. Since they began in 2005, they have incubated over 40 startups and raised over $23 million in investments.
Our partnership with BCC has resulted in the Innovation DHB programme, which gives staff a way to take their innovative ideas straight to the people who are best suited to help them. While the centrepiece of this is an annual innovation competition, staff are welcome to submit their clever ideas at any time, and BCC’s team will be more than willing to help.
If you want to know more about Innovation DHB and what it can do for you during your time with us, check out the website
, or get the info straight from the people themselves and contact Jane Donaldson
at BCC with your queries.
