MidCentral Health offers a number of rotational runs for second year and house officers, these are usually 12/12 posts but also have a number of 6/12 appointments available in specialties.

Registrar positions tend to be non-rotational, however, from time to time this does happen for example, 6/12 general surgery and 6/12 intensive care unit (ICU).

There are excellent facilities on site for RMOs, including a library, lecture theatre and accommodation.

Pay scales and expenses are per the resident Doctors Association and District Health Boards Multi Employer Agreement (MECA) with salary payments made fortnightly by automatic payment.

Latest Resident Medical Officer vacancies are available from our Working at MDHB vacancy area.

You are responsible for applying for registration to practise in New Zealand through the Medical Council website, obtaining a work visa and having current medical indemnity cover.
