Accessing Dietetic Services
There are three dietetic services available in the MidCentral DHB which consist of:
- Clinics held by the hospital dietitians at Palmerston North Hospital, Horowhenua Health Centre, Dannevirke Health Centre and Clevely Health Centre in Feilding.
- Clinics held by Primary Health Organisations (PHO) dietitians in the Manawatu, Otaki, Horowhenua and Tararua.
- Private practice dietitians (Nutrition Matters) which is based in Palmerston North.
How to access the service
Your reasons for seeing a dietitian will decide which service is the most appropriate for you to attend.

If you need to see a dietitian at the hospital then another health care professional will need to refer you.
If you need to see a PHO dietitian then your GP will refer you or you may also self refer.
Anybody can see a private practice dietitian, contact them to make an appointment.
