Work Choice Day
Students from local high schools are invited to MidCentral Health to meet health professionals from a variety of disciplines.
Work Choice day is held as a mini careers expo, in which health professionals from the departments represented answer questions about their job, qualifications required and let students try their hand at tasks (such as working through how to read a basic xray). Our displays featured pharmacy, dental, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, radiation therapists, resident medical officers, social workers, speech language therapists, detitians, medical radiation techonologists (x-ray), the resuscitation team, and nursing.
For more information on this years Work Choice day (Tuesday, 18th May 2010) please see your careers advisor or visit the work choice day website.
