MidCentral District Health Board, at times offers some scholarships. Please find scholarships available below.
Scholarships Available:
These scholarships are available to dental therapist students in their final year of study.
For three years from 2007, MidCentral District Health board has two Year 3 (final year of study) dental therapist scholarships available.
This scholarship is available to students attending Otago University or Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Course fees
Upon completion of the course, the successful applicants will be financially bonded and receive paid employment based with MidCentral DHB’s school dental service in a rural location such as Shannon, Feilding or another double clinic facility. The exact placement will be decided by the school dental service but priority will be given to rural and hig needs locations.

Midwifery Education Grant
Education grants are available for:
Category 1. Those preparing to become registered midwives and work in this DHB, as well as women undertaking a Childbirth Education Course which will contribute to the education of pregnant women in this DHB.
To apply for this education grant complete and submit the completed application form.
Category 2. Registered Midwives working in this DHB in an employed or self-employed capacity who are undertaking a continuing education course or postgraduate education or research.
To apply for this education grant complete and submit the completed application form.
Applicants must who how their proposed course of study or research contributes to the goals of the MidCentral DHB Maternity Services Strategy.
