Resident Medical Officer Opportunities

MidCentral Health offers a number of rotational runs for second year and house officers, these are usually 12/12 posts but also have a number of 6/12 appointments available in the specialties listed below. Registrar positions tend to be non-rotational, however, from time to time this does happen for example, 6/12 general surgery and 6/12 intensive care unit (ICU).

There are excellent facilities on site for RMOs, including a library, lecture theatre and accommodation.

Pay scales and expenses are per the resident Doctors Association and District Health Boards Multi Employer Agreement (MECA) with salary payments made fortnightly by automatic payment.
