Administration
MidCentral District Health Board (MDHB) has a variety of administrative positions, which support the clinical staff in patient care. These positions range from MDHB's casual clerical pool, where you may be posted to any department around the hospital to more specialised positions in Clinical Coding, Funding Division, Information Systems, Payroll, Human Resources or Performance and Planning Unit.

Education Opportunities
Ongoing education opportunities are available internally and extra-murally, including courses in medical terminology, customer service skills and Treaty of Waitangi. There is also a large portion of on-the-job learning for administrative positions. Through this process, employees are introduced to new systems, skills, procedures, and policies used throughout the hospital.
Clerical Reference Group
Clerical employees are supported in the organisation by their own clerical reference group, where representatives from each area meet to discuss professional issues and opportunities for clerical employees.
