The Medical Assessment and Planning Unit is a 13-bed dedicated area for acute medical patients. The emphasis is on rapid patient assessment and treatment with the aim of either an early discharge, or a clear plan of care on admissions.
As our Ward Clerk you will be responsible for providing support to the clinical team in this busy work environment. We are seeking a professional who has the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and demands, and is enthusiastic, polite, empathetic, timely and reliable.
We have two part time positions available as follows:
- Position One: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12.30pm – 8pm.
- Position Two: 13 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 8.30am – 3.30pm.

Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
