A bit about our service and team:
We are dedicated to provide international best practice in the field of radiation therapy using state of the art technology. The department has a wide-bore CT-simulator, 3 Varian Truebeam linear accelerators each with a six degrees of freedom couch, 1 Siemens multi-modality linear accelerator due to be replaced with a Varian Truebeam in the near future and a superficial X-ray unit. The department uses RayStation treatment planning system and MOSAIQ patient management system.  There are well established and accredited IMRT, VMAT, DIBH and IGRT and SBRT programs. Our department is the first in New Zealand to be developing satellite radiation treatment units in our region (Hawke's Bay and Taranaki) which will be operational in the next few years to ensure our patients can access radiation treatment as close to home as possible.

You will be part of a team of seven Radiation Oncologists with a variety of specialist interests in all adult malignancies.  The department requires the applicant to work as a general Radiation Oncologist although there are opportunities to develop an area of subspecialty cancer interest.
