  Health Targets

  
  Health Targets are a set of national performance measures specifically designed to improve the performance of health services across 21 District Health Boards (DHB), including MidCentral DHB (MDHB).

  National Quality Improvement Committee

  
  The role of the national Quality Improvement Committee is to provide advice to the Minister of Health on any health epidemiology and quality assurance matters. It works with the health sector, including District Health Boards (with a particular focus on hospital care), as both an advisor and a facilitator.

  Serious & Sentinel Events

  
  In February 2008 the first information about serious and sentinel events was released.Sentinel and Serious Events Reported by District Health Boards in the year July 2007 to June 2008, released today - February 23, 2009 -isthesecond consolidated report about serious and sentinel events across New Zealand’s 21 District Health Boards.
