Planning

A District Health Board is always planning to improve the health status of the people who live in its district. It does this through strategic, annual and service planning. A DHB's achievements are measured and reported publicly.

Clinical Networks

MidCentral District Health Board (MDHB) has a continued focus on clinician and consumer involvement in service development and improvement across the region. A Clinical Network structure is in the process of being established. This will replace the District Management Groups and Reference Groups from previous years. A (transitional) Steering Group has been created and will aid in the development of the different District Groups.
Local Planning

MidCentral District Health Board continuously looks to improve the health of its district, not only by servicing health needs today, but also by planning for the future. This page provides information on the annual plan, annual report, hospital and primary care planning, emergency planning and also workforce and information systems plans.
Regional Planning

Regional planning incorporates the combined boards of the six Central Region DHB's. They are Capital and Coast, Hawkes Bay, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, MidCentral and Whanganui DHB's.
National Planning

National Planning is New Zealand wide health planning. The National Health Board works with the Ministry of Health to set priority goals for District Health Boards to achieve.
