Nationwide Health & Disability Advocacy Services
Advocates are employed by services independent of health and disability service providers and funders, and from government agencies. Advocates are confidential and will support consumers who believe their rights, under the Code of Rights, have been breached.

A health and disability advocate will:
- Listen to your concerns
- Give you information about your rights
- Help you identify and clarify issues
- Help you to explore the options available to assist you to resolve each issue
- Support you in the actions you take to resolve your concerns
This service is provided under the Health and Disability Commissioner Act 1994.
