Rural Patient Car Parks
Car parks are reserved for Tararua and Horowhenua clinic patients only:
- There are 27 car parks reserved near the front of Palmerston North Hospital, adjacent to Ruahine Street, for rural clinic patients from Dannevirke and Horowhenua regions.
- They are located in car park C - see Palmerston North Hospital hospital map.
- Permits are sent by clinic staff to qualifying clinic patients along with their appointment card.
- A plan of the location is on the reverse of the permit.
- Permits are for use on the day of the appointment which is written on the permit.
- Permits do not need to be returned after use.
- If the 27 car parks are full, then these rural patients will need to access another hospital carpark.
To visit the main hospital:
- Ruahine Street – Gates 9, 11, 12
- Tremaine Ave – Gate 8
- Heretaunga Street – Gate 5.
To visit the Community Village:
- Heretaunga Street – Gate 1.
Mobility card holder parks are at the:
- Main hospital entrance off Ruahine Street
- STAR Centre entrance.
At these two entrances, there is a two minute set down and pick-up area. Please ensure this is respected.
