| MidCentral Health General Manager Resigns
MidCentral Health General Manager Lareen Cooper today announced her resignation as she moves to explore new opportunities, after leading MidCentral Health for the past four years.
MidCentral District Health Chief Executive Murray Georgel said: “Lareen will leave on 16 October 2009 to pursue other interests and on behalf of the staff I wish her well in her new endeavours.
“I would like to thank Lareen for her work over the past four years.
“She has made a very valuable contribution to the organisation in challenging times – introducing a number of new projects to meet Government priorities and growing demand.
Mr Georgel again thanked Ms Cooper for her work, and offered her best wishes on behalf of MidCentral District Health Board.
Mr Georgel will assume the General Manager’s role on her departure, until a new appointment is made.
“Work that Lareen has started, like the MidCentral Health Service Review, will continue uninterrupted under my guidance in the meantime."
