Entries will open for the MidCentral District Health Board 2010 Health Awards on Monday 12 July. Electronic application packs and website information are available here. Hosted by MidCentral DHB, the theme of this year’s awards programme is ‘greatness, success and unparalleled achievement’.
This year there will be two top awards. The Supreme Award - ‘In Recognition of Lifetime Achievement’, acknowledging endeavours that have demonstrated significant and lasting contribution toward the realisation of successful and conclusive health outcomes in our district. There is also the Outstanding Achievement Award – ‘Team of the Year’, for exceptional team contribution and commitment to the delivery of health services over a period of time and into the future.
General Manager of MidCentral DHB’s funding division and awards’ sponsor, Mike Grant, said: “We all have the potential to achieve great things in our lives. This year it is appropriate to take time to acknowledge and honour those health professionals, both individuals and teams, who have displayed an exceptional and unparalleled contribution in delivering improved health outcomes for populations within the MidCentral DHB district.”
This year all of the award categories have been updated to reflect the diversity of health service providers across our region. The awards span a wide range of categories from disability management innovation to work within the community.
Nominations for the 2010 awards are open to any individual, team or organisation working to benefit the health and wellbeing of people within MidCentral DHB District.
Application packs will be available from www.midcentraldhb.govt.nz/healthawards or by emailing healthawards@midcentraldhb.govt.nz. All applications will need to be in by Friday 20 August.
