| Samoan Tsunami Patients @ PN Hospital Release 2
Palmerston North Hospital has been stood down and, at this stage, is no longer receiving patients and their families from the Samoan tsunami disaster.
Earlier today, MidCentral District Health Board was alerted to the possibility of up to 10 patients arriving aboard an Australian Air Force aircraft at RNZAF Base Ohakea.
MDHB has not been notified at this stage as to any alternative arrangements regarding the patients.
MidCentral Health General Manager, Lareen Cooper, said the hospital was still in a state of readiness in case any tsunami victims needed hospital care.
