MDHB joins the Manawatu Careers Expo

This year MidCentral District Health Board will be taking part in the Manawatu Careers Expo this weekend.

MidCentral DHB will be promoting careers in health including: nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, resuscitation, dental, social work and many more.

As part of the MidCentral DHB display there will be health-related interactive activities for the public to participate in.
MidCentral DHB Human Resource Administrator, Lianna Te Oriki said: “The careers expo is run by Vision Manawatu and traditionally used to be the Trades Expo. This year they have opened it up to all careers and MDHB saw this as a fantastic opportunity to promote some of the exciting careers available in health.

“Prior to this MDHB’s WorkChoice Day (in May) was the only opportunity available for local students to get to see, hear, and talk about possible careers in health with health professionals.”

The free expo will take place on Sunday 3 July 10am-4pm and Monday 4 July 9am -3pm at Arena 2 and Arena 3 in Palmerston North. Both days are open to the public, and local schools have been invited to attend on the Monday.
