MidCentral Health continues to develop its Child and Adolescent Oral health Services, expanding beyond the school term and the use of other community/health locations.
During the recent October 2011 school holidays, dental services were provided at Horowhenua Health Centre in Levin, Coley Street School in Foxton, Central Normal School in Palmerston North, and Manchester Street School in Feilding.
Overall, 465 patients were seen. Of those patients seen, 336 completed their treatment and 129 will require a revisit to a clinic.
More children were seen and had treatment completed compared to the July school holidays when 226 patients were seen, 117 patients completed their treatment and 107 patients required a revisit.
