Fifteen Candidates Nominated For District Health Board Elections

The DHB Electoral Officer, John Annabell, advises that the following 15 people were nominated for the election for SEVEN members of the MidCentral District Health Board at the noon close of nominations today. An official list will be published after nominations have been verified.

As the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies to be held, an election will be held to fill the seven positions.

The election will be “at large” and will be held under the Single Transferable Vote (STV) electoral system.

The election will be conducted by postal vote over the period from Friday 17 September 2010, until noon on Saturday 9 October 2010.
