Horowhenua Health Centre’s Facility Co-ordinator, Robyn Shaw, has returned to the Palmerston North Hospital as Project Manager, Elective Services.

Ms Shaw has been facility co-ordinator since the centre opened in July 2007 and shared that role with part-time elective services’ duties in Palmerston North.

“I enjoyed my time at the centre and want to thank the staff and public for the ongoing support they’ve shown in the facility,” she said. “The advantages offered by the centre’s one-stop shop concept are now certainly being appreciated by the Horowhenua community.”

Rural Services Group Manager, Muriel Hanratty, said Ms Shaw had played a “very significant” role in developing the facility and models of service delivery in the past 18 months and she wished to acknowledge and thank her for those efforts.

She said Jane Richards, Charge Nurse, STAR 4, had moved into the facility co-ordinator’s position temporarily while a process for finalising a 12-month secondment to the role was completed.
