MidCentral District Health Board Annual Report is again a finalist in the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants Annual Report Awards.
DHB staff hold high hopes of taking out the Best Annual Report by a Government Organisation category when the winners are announced this Wednesday July 9.
MidCentral DHB Manager Administration and Communications Jill Matthews says: “As with the majority of our publications, the Annual Report 2007 was written and produced in-house – and on a shoestring.
"Our consistently high placement in the awards is a reflection of the quality of the annual report, as well as many other publications produced by the DHB. MidCentral DHB staff work hard to make the report compelling and accessible to a wide and varied audience and because of their success it has become a flagship for the DHB.”
Entrants in the competition, which is designed to encourage excellence in the presentation of information in annual reporting, range from multi-national companies to small community groups. This is the third time in a row the MDHB has been shortlisted for the awards which are open to every organisation that produces an annual report.
The winner out of the four finalists in the Government Organisation category will go on to compete with other category winners for the Supreme Award.
