25/06/2010
| IT Health Board Workshop
This is an opportunity to have a say in how the delivery of healthcare can be improved by better use of health information. You are invited to attend a workshop to meet sector leaders and share your 'ideas and concerns' about possible solutions.
Aim of Workshop
Our aim at the workshops is to examine ‘the issues associated with shared care records with people who use the health system on a day to day basis’.
Please join us and encourage other clinicians and interested people to be a part of this workshop.
Date and venue:
Monday 5 July at MidCentral Palmerston North Hospital.
2.45 pm Coffee
3.00 pm Workshop Start
5.30 pm Refreshments
6.00 pm Group Discussion
7.00 pm Workshop close
Workshop Programme
The workshops incorporate an address by a local clinical health leader on local health objectives;
A presentation by Graeme Osborne - Director of the National Health It Board on the need for shared care records to be followed by discussion/questions from attendees;
Three break out groups facilitated by Ernie Newman - Chair of TUANZ, the local clinical health leader and Graeme to discuss ideas, issues and solutions.
Feedback will be recorded and reported back on.
Following a refreshment break at 6.00 there will be a group discussion where we particularly invite local clinicians to attend to join in discussing issues.
Other workshops
We are holding a further five workshops around the country in:
• Whangarei Hockey Stadium on Wednesday 21 July
• Manukau City in the Grey hound Function Centre on Thursday 22 July
• Christchurch in the Town Hall on Thursday 29 July
• Dunedin in Otago Museum on Friday 30 July
Following the workshops we plan to compile the information to give us a ‘roadmap’ of concerns and solutions that will be distributed back to attendees and the sector.
Please note local media will be invited to attend for the second part of the workshop (after 5.30 pm)
