When it comes to breast screening, Suzie Johnson has this advice: “Suck it up princess and get on with it.”

Johnson, owner of the Oosh stores, is one of the women promoting the ‘Time to Screen’ campaign this month.

“It’s really not that scary. Plus you’d be no use to your family if you’re not there. Do it for your kids and your whānau, it’s not about you.”

“If you’ve got great boobs, why not show them off?”

BreastScreen Coast to Coast Manager, Denise Mallon said: “We would like to thank Suzie for bringing her energy to this campaign. Suzie is well known in the community, and for saying it how it is. We love that she is so passionate about women getting their regular breast screening. We hope that women will be motivated to book their appointments with us now.”

Breast screening is free for women aged 45 to 69 years, call 0800 270 200 to book an appointment.
