MidCentral DHB will be holding its third annual ‘Careers in Health’ day at Palmerston North Hospital campus on 24 June from 8.30am-1pm.
The event is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a health career to get more information, and talk to those who are already working in the sector. There will also be a range of displays and activities for people to take part in.
There will be a wide range of health professions on display, including doctors, nurses, midwives, medical imaging, radiation therapy and many more.
MDHB’s medical recruitment consultant Christine Wood is looking forward to meeting people interested in taking up a health profession.
She said: “We are welcoming everyone to this event who is interested in taking up a career in health. Whether you’re about to leave high school, or a looking for a change of career, health has a real variety of interesting and rewarding jobs.
“There are so many different avenues for people to explore and there really is something for everyone. In the past we have even had people become interested in professions they didn’t even know existed. Whatever it is you’re after, we are happy to help you find out more about a career in health.”
