The fourth MidCentral DHB annual ‘Careers in Health’ day takes place at Palmerston North Hospital on Friday 23 June from 8.30am-1pm.
Staff will be on hand to talk to those interested in a future in the health professions.
The range of careers in health is vast, and displays and hands-on activities will accompany information on various roles including doctors, nurses, midwives, medical imaging specialists, dieticians, radiation therapists and many more.
MDHB’s recruitment consultant Christine Wood is looking forward to meeting people interested in taking up a health profession.
She said: “We really want to talk to people interested in a career in health. You may be about to leave secondary school, or you might be looking for a change of career. Health has a real variety of interesting and rewarding jobs.
“There are so many different avenues there really is something for everyone. In the past we have had people become interested in professions they didn’t even know existed before. Whatever it is you’re after, we are happy to help you find out more about a career in health.”
Around 200 people attended the event last year.
