BreastScreen Coast to Coast’s Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT), Pip says: “Bite the bullet; ignoring problems doesn’t make them go away. Come and get your breast screening.”

Pip has seen many women come through the doors of BreastScreen Coast to Coast and says: “Women can be dramatic, but it’s never as bad as they imagine.”

“They are always in charge when they’re here. We want them to feel as comfortable and at ease through the process. The whole point of breast screening is getting anything early. You don’t want to be on your death bed thinking ‘I should’ve’”.

BreastScreen Coast to Coast Manager, Denise Mallon said: “We appreciate Pip taking part in our ‘Time to Screen’ campaign. We value her contribution as an MRT, as her view is a unique one in this campaign because she is the one doing the screening. We know that she makes women feel at ease and looks forward to seeing more women come through the door as a result of this campaign. We like to be as accommodating as possible at BreastScreen Coast to Coast, so we encourage women to give us a call.”

Breast screening is free for women aged between 45 and 69 years. Call 0800 270 200 to book an appointment
