BreastScreen Coast to Coast will be taking a break between Christmas and New Year but re-opening as normal on Tuesday 5 January.

BSCC will open on Tuesday 5 January at 8am, and starting the next day (Wednesday 6 January) will be their popular Walk-in Wednesdays, where women 45-69 years can turn up to the Amesbury Street building without an appointment, and be fitted in for breast screening among people with appointments.

Also on Tuesday 5 January from 1pm the BSCC mobile unit will open at the Bush Multi Sports Park, 57 Huxley Street, Pahiatua. This is a new venue, and will be open there until Friday 29 January for Tararua women to be screened.

Women worried about their health, especially the health of their breasts, during the closure period, should contact their GP, or after-hours clinic, or Healthline 0800 611 116 for advice.
