The Age on the Go Expo promises to be an exciting event full of activities and services that focus on good health, fun and support for older people in Horowhenua.

Organised by Horowhenua District Council and sponsored by MidCentral District Health Board and The Hearing Co., the free expo will be held from 10am to 3pm on Friday 5 October at the Horowhenua Events Centre in Victoria Street, Levin.

Community Development Advisor Josh Wharton said there will be plenty of information, education and entertainment available.
“We expect up to 60 businesses and community organisations to have stalls this year, including Age Concern, Neighbourhood Support, Arohanui Hospice, Horowhenua Breathe Easy Support Group and many others,” he said.

“It’s always a popular event. Every year it attracts hundreds of people.”
“We are looking forward to sharing the day with the whole family,” Mr Wharton said. “They can learn about services, products and lifestyle opportunities for older family members, and we have a children’s corner and activities for everyone to enjoy.”

A free shuttle will be available to transport visitors to the venue from Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō hourly.
