MidCentral Health offers a 24 hour, seven days a week acute theatre providing both day & inpatient surgery for acute or elective patients.

At Palmerston North Hospital there are seven operating theatres, a 12-bed post anaesthetic care unit and a day of surgery admission area.
There is also a six bed surgical short stay unit if you are having a minor procedure and need to stay for one night.
