Public Health has a team of Health Promoters working in the community, helping people to stay well. Health promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve, their health. A central goal is to create environments that support wellness. Health Promotion includes supporting community action, healthy environments, healthy public policy and the development of individual skills. This enables people to make personal choices about their health and well-being.
