If you are intending to establish a pharmacy in the MidCentral region, you must first contact the Strategy, Planning and Performance department of MidCentral DHB to check on the availability of new pharmacy contracts.

Pharmacy in MidCentral Documents:

The DHB is currently seeking feedback on a strategy for pharmacist services (PDF - 5MB). We are seeking to ensure that the provision of pharmacy services in MidCentral fulfils criteria of equity and population need. Feedback should be sent through to the Clinical Services Programme Lead – Steve Carey (details below) prior to 5pm on the 24th of May 2019.

Until a policy on contracting for pharmacy services has been developed there will be no automatic guarantee that applications for new pharmacy contracts will be granted and pharmacy providers should consider this before committing to any investment in new pharmacy outlets in the MidCentral region.
