Public Health Primary Care Service staff provide:

- Assessment & referral on health related problems & concerns
- Support & advocacy to assist individuals & families.

School Based Nursing Service
Schools visited by public health nurse on a regular basis or as requested.
Youth Focused Service
Nurses clinic available at Gordon Street Health Clinic – drop in or by appointment.
Available to all children & youth (5 – 18 years).
Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Doctor available monthly by appointment.
Contraception information and advice available to young people up to the age of 22 years. This is “A Free & Confidential Service”.

Vision & Hearing Screening Service
A vision & hearing clinic is held the first Wednesday of each month at Gordon Street Health Clinic – by appointment.
The vision & hearing team visit all schools & pre-schools on a regular basis.

Tararua Well Women’s Health Co-ordinator is based at the Gordon Street Health Clinic, Monday to Friday.
