Wound Care
MidCentral Health’s wound service is a specialist nursing service supported by a nurse practitioner and two clinical nurse specialists, one of whom is hospital based, and one in the community.
An Holistic Approach to Wound Care
The Wound Service includes holistic patient assessment, management of pain, and referral to other services, such as surgeons or pain management as necessary. Advice on management of acute, chronic and complex wounds is available.
The MidCentral Health Wound Service is provided across the DHB and referral to the service is from within the hospital and health providers.
