Te Whare Rapuora.

Maori Health Unit: Providing Advice and Support

The Maori health unit provides advice and support to MidCentral Health on the provision of appropriate services to meet Mäori health needs as well as providing support for whanau.

The unit also provides accommodation for whanau domiciled out of Palmerston North and who are attending to and/or visiting a relative (short term).

Referral to the Maori Health Unit:

  • Cultural safety issues/barriers to health services
  • Clinical information, for example current health problems etc
  • Iwi Health Provider and other Maori community information
