MidCentral District Health Board has preschool, school, adolescent and hospital dental services. Dental health is an important part of general health for the whole family from infants to the older adult.

Community and School Dental Services
MidCentral's Child and Adolescent Oral Health Service provides support, advice and free dental treatment for children aged from 0-17 years of age. The service uses a combination of mobile and fixed clinics to service the areas of Feilding, Dannevirke, Pahiatua, Shannon, Woodville, Eketahuna, Levin, Otaki, Foxton and Palmerston North.
The mobile dental clinics visit over 70 schools throughout the region and as well as having a small number of school based clinics services are also available in the Horowhenua Health Centre in Levin and at The Palms Palmerston North.
All children should be enrolled from five months old.

Services during school holidays
Services are available over the school holidays at The Palms, Horowhenua Health Centre and selected sites. Certain schools will have the mobile dental clinics onsite or fixed school based clinics may be open. Look at the Mobile and Fixed Clinic Schedule to find your closest dental facility.
Services outside of hours
If emergency care is required and there is no dental facility open near you please contact your family dentist or one of the contracting dentists on this list.
