Manawhenua Hauora

Manawhenua Hauora is a consortium of all four Iwi who have manawhenua status in the Manawatu, Horowhenua, Tararua and Otaki districts. The roopu comprises representatives from Ngati Raukawa, Muaupoko, Rangitaane and Ngati Kahungunu.

Manawhenua Hauora was established to advance iwi Maori health and works together with MidCentral DHB's Board to achieve the best possible health outcomes for iwi Maori people residing in Manawatu, Horowhenua, Otaki and Tararua districts.

Manawhenua Hauora has developed Terms of Reference for its operation and meets regularly.

Manawhenua Hauora has developed a consumer client survey for whanau/hapu/iwi members to capture the perceptions of Maori consumers and contribute to understanding how the health system is working and whether it needs some improvement for Maori.
