The official result for the election of seven members of the MidCentral District Health Board held on Saturday 9 October is as follows. This result was determined after the scrutiny of the rolls were completed, the validity of all special votes was determined and all valid votes were counted.

The names of the candidates above are listed (i) in descending order of election for those elected, so that the candidate who was first elected is shown first and so on, and (ii) in reverse order of exclusion for those excluded, so that the candidate who was excluded last is shown first and so on.
The final absolute majority of votes (final quota) as determined at the last iteration was 5,345.59. There were 1,893 informal votes and 4,294 blank votes.

In addition to the seven elected members, the Board of MidCentral DHB comprises a further four positions. These positions are filled by people appointed by the Minister of Health. These appointments are expected to be made prior to the new Board taking office on 6 December 2010.
Between now and 6 December, the current Board will continue in office.
